Stacey Alleaume Soprano

Famosa per la sua voce dalla bellezza, calore, carattere ed espressione straordinari, il soprano Australo-Mauritana Stacey Alleaume Australian-Mauritian si è affermata con un’entusiasmante carriera operistica a venire.

Nel 2016 ha ricevuto la borsa di studio ‘’Dame Joan Sutherland’’ come talento Australiano d’eccellenza ed è diventata un membro della Moffatt Oxenbould Young Artist Program di Opera Australia. Nei primi anni di carrier come giovane artista ha debuttato alla Sydney Opera House come Micaëla in Carmen, Leïla in Pescatori di Perle e Alexandra Mason in The Eighth Wonder. Altri ruoli interpretati per Opera Australia includono Violetta Valéry in La Traviata, Fiorilla in Il Turco in Italia, Sophie in Werther, Gilda in Rigoletto, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Valencienne in La Vedova Allegra e prima Fanciulla Fiore in Parsifal. Stacey ha anche partecipato al tour di Hansel and Gretel (produzione Opera Australia) come Gretel, come Pamina nel Flauto Magico e Rosina nel Barbiere di Siviglia. Nel 2019 debutta in Europa come Gilda in Rigoletto al Bregenzer Festspiele. È stata anche cover di Lakmé e ha cantato come Frasquita in Carmen entrambi per la Royal Opera House Muscat. Nel 2020 sarà Violetta Valéry per l’Handa Opera al Sydney Harbour – La Traviata di Opera Australia, e debutterà anche I ruoli di Principessa Eudoxie ne La Juive e Voce dell’Uccello della Foresta in Siegfried dal Ring Cycle di Wagner. Dopo aver conseguito la laurea in Musica (performance) all’Università di Melbourne, Stacey completa il Performance Progran all’Opera Studio di Melborune (2010). Da quel momento l’evoluzione della sua arte è stata supportata da molti premi, inclusi sovvenzioni dal PPCA Performers’ Trust Foundation e dall’Opus 50 Charitable Trust nel 2011. Nel 2010 riceve la borsa di studio Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust ed è stata premiata nel 2012 con la borsa di studio Melba Opera Trust’s Amelia Joscelyne Reserve e il premio Ruskin Family Opera. Nel 2015 è stata insignita della borsa di studio Irene Cummings e Theodore Hostetler al Music Academy of the West a Santa Barbara, California, sotto la direzione del leggendario mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne. Stacey ha ricevuto un successo importante grazie a rinomati concorsi per voce, vincendo l’Australian Youth Aria nel 2009, e il noto Waiariki Institute of Technology New Zealand Aria nel 2011. Ha trionfato in Australia vincendo il primo posto per entrambe le borse di studi Sydney Eisteddfod Opera del 2012 e l’Herald Sun Aria del 2013.

Renowned for her voice of remarkable beauty, warmth, character and expression, Australian-Mauritian Soprano Stacey Alleaume has established herself with an exciting operatic career ahead. In 2016, she received the Dame Joan Sutherland Scholarship for outstanding Australian operatic talent and became a member of the Moffatt Oxenbould Young Artist Program at Opera Australia. In her first year as a young artist she made three role debuts at the Sydney Opera House: Micaëla in Carmen, Leïla in The Pearl Fishers and Alexandra Mason in The Eighth Wonder. Further principal roles with Opera Australia have included Violetta Valéry in La Traviata, Fiorilla in Il Turco in Italia, Sophie in Werther, Gilda in Rigoletto, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Valencienne in The Merry Widow and Flower Maiden 1 in Parsifal. Stacey has also toured with Opera Australia performing the roles of Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, Pamina in The Magic Flute and Rosina in The Barber of Seville.   In 2019, Stacey made her European debut performing Gilda in Rigoletto in the Bregenzer Festspiele. She also covered the title role in Lakmé, and sang the role of Frasquita in Carmen both for The Royal Opera House Muscat. In 2020, Stacey will perform the role of Violetta Valéry in Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour – La Traviata with Opera Australia, and will also debut the roles of Princess Eudoxie in La Juive and Stimme des Waldvogels in Siegried from Wagner’s The Ring Cycle with the company. After completing a Bachelor of Music (Music Performance) degree from The University of Melbourne, Stacey undertook the Performance Program at The Opera Studio Melbourne in 2010. Since then her artistic development has been supported by many awards, including grants from the PPCA Performers’ Trust Foundation and Opus 50 Charitable Trust in 2011. In 2010 Stacey received the Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust Scholarship, and was honoured again in 2012 with the Melba Opera Trust’s Amelia Joscelyne Reserve Scholarship and the Ruskin Family Opera Award. In 2015, Stacey was a vocal fellow and recipient of the Irene Cummings and Theodore Hostetler Full Scholarship at The Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California, under the direction of legendary mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne.Stacey has enjoyed considerable success in important vocal competitions, winning the Australian Youth Aria in 2009, and the highly-esteemed Waiariki Institute of Technology New Zealand Aria n 2011. She has triumphed in Australia’s longest-running and most prestigious awards, taking first place in both The Sydney Eisteddfod Opera Scholarship 2012 and the 2013 Herald Sun Aria.
