Sebastià Peris Baritono

Sebastià PERIS nasce nel 1989 a Tavernes Blanques a Valencia, Spagna.
Ad otto anni comincia a suonare le percussioni in un gruppo musicale nella sua città natale. Anni dopo, durante gli studi in economia all’Università di Valencia, scopre la sua vocazione per il canto lirico e comincia a studiare al Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo a Valencia.
Ad oggi, continua il suo percorso a Valencia con il professore di canto Patricia Llorens.
Peris ha partecipato a numerose masterclass dirette da Maestri come Carlos Chausson, Ana Luisa Chova, Roberto Scandiuzzi, Joan Pons, Peter Seiffert e Helen Donath.

Ha interpretato ruoli come Figaro e Conte ne ”Le Nozze di Figaro” e Papageno ne ”Il Flauto Magico” di W.A.Mozart; Marcello e Schaunaurd ne ”La Boheme” di G. Puccini; Moralès e Dancairo in ”Carmen” di G. Bizet; Peter in ”Hänsel e Gretel” di E. Humperdink; Junius in ”The Rape of Lucretia” di B. Britten, per nominarne alcuni.

Il suo repertorio come solista per progetti sinfonici include la Sinfonia No. 9 in Re minore di Beethoven, il Requiem di Fauré, la Passione di Giovanni e la Passione di Matteo di J.S. Bach, la Petite Messe Solennelle di Rossini, La Messa in Sol Maggiore di Schubert, e il Messiah di Handel. Ha lavorato con registi e direttori come Graham Vick, José Carlos Plaza, Emilio Sagi, Paco Azorín; Guillermo García-Calvo, Martín Baeza-Rubio, Enrique García Asensio, Cristóbal Soler, Victor Pablo Pérez, Axel Kober, per citarne alcuni.

Nel 2013, Peris ha vinto il Primo Premio nella Juventudes Musicales de Espana National Singing Competition.
Lo stesso anno debutta al Teatro de la Zarzuela di Madrid, dove ha cantato i ruoli di opere come ”La Verbena de la Paloma” (T.Bretón), ”Curro Vargas” (R.Chapí), ”Lady Be Good” (G. Gershwin) e, più recentemente ”Maria Moliner” (A. Parera Fons). Nel Maggio 2015 l’Ambasciata di Spagna in Venezuela lo invita all’European Soloists Festival per il 40esimo anniversario del ”Sistema Nacional de Orquestas de Venezuela”.
Nel 2016 vince il Primo Premio per il concorso ”Wagnerian Society of Madrid” e l’anno successivo va al Bayreuther Festspiele.

Dalla stagione 2016/2017 lavora per l’Opera Studio della Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf/Duisburg.

Sebastià PERIS was born in 1989 in Tavernes Blanques in Valencia, Spain.
At age eight, he made his first foray into music, playing percussion in a musical ensemble in his hometown. Years later while studying economy at the Universidad de Valencia, however, he discovered his true calling as an operatic vocalist and was granted admission to study singing at the prestigious Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia.

Currently, he continues his work there under the tutelage of singing professor, Patricia Llorens. Peris has participated in masterclasses with maestri of note including Carlos Chausson, Ana Luisa Chova, Roberto Scandiuzzi, Joan Pons, Peter Seiffert and Helen Donath.

He has interpreted roles such as Figaro & Conte in “Le Nozze di Figaro” and Papageno in “Die Zauberflöte” (W.A Mozart); Marcello & Schaunard in “La Bohème” (G.Puccini); Moralès & Dancaïre in Carmen (G.Bizet); Peter in “Hänsel und Gretel” (E. Humperdink); Junius in “The Rape of Lucretia” (B. Britten), to name a few.

His repertory as a soloist in symphonic works includes Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Fauré’s Requiem, both the Johannes-Passion and the Matthäus-Passion by Bach, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, Schubert’s G Major Mass, and Händel’s Messiah.

He has worked with such stage directors and conductors as Graham Vick, José Carlos Plaza, Emilio Sagi, Paco Azorín; Guillermo García-Calvo, Martín Baeza- Rubio, Enrique García Asensio, Cristóbal Soler, Victor Pablo Pérez, Axel Kober, among others. In 2013, Peris won First Prize in the Juventudes Musicales de España National Singing Competition.

That same year he made his debut in the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, where he has sung roles in “La verbena de la Paloma” (T. Bretón), “Curro Vargas” (R. Chapí), “Lady be good” (G. Gershwin) and, most recently “Maria Moliner” (A. Parera Fons). In May 2015, the Embassy of Spain in Venezuela invites him to the “European Soloists Festival” for the 40th Anniversary of “Sistema Nacional de Orquestas de Venezuela”.
In 2016 he won the First Prize in the Competition of the “Wagnerian Society of Madrid” and he receives the Stipendium to go to the Bayreuther Festspiele 2017.

From Season 2016/2017 he works in the Opera Studio of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf/Duisburg.
